Write for Ayurvedapedia

Ayurvedapedia is built by the Ayurvedic community. We welcome contributions from qualified practitioners, scholars, and researchers who want to make classical Ayurvedic knowledge more accessible across Europe.

Who Can Contribute

BAMS and MD (Ayurveda) practitioners — you can author articles on any classical topic within your area of expertise.

Ayurveda students (final year or postgraduate) — you can submit articles for review by our editorial board. A supervising practitioner will be assigned as co-reviewer.

Researchers and scholars — if you work in Ayurvedic research, pharmacology, or related fields, we welcome articles that bridge classical knowledge with modern evidence.

Translators — Ayurvedapedia publishes in 11 European languages. If you are fluent in both Sanskrit/Ayurvedic terminology and a European language, we need your help.

Topics We Need

We are actively seeking articles on:

Herb monographs — classical properties (Rasa, Guna, Virya, Vipaka, Prabhava), textual references, traditional preparations, and botanical identification.

Classical formulations — composition, preparation method, classical indications, textual sources, and traditional dosage guidelines.

Treatment protocols — Panchakarma procedures, preparatory practices (Poorvakarma), main therapies, and post-treatment care as described in classical texts.

Classical text commentaries — chapter summaries, verse annotations, and contextual explanations of important passages.

Comparative studies — analysis of how different classical texts describe the same herb, formulation, or concept.

Submission Guidelines

Length: 1,500–5,000 words for standard articles. Longer pieces for comprehensive references are welcome.

Citations: All classical references must include text name, chapter, and verse number where possible. Modern research citations should include DOI or PubMed links.

Language: Submit in English. If you prefer to write in another European language, our editorial team can coordinate translation.

Formatting: Use clear headings, short paragraphs, and structured sections. We will provide a template upon request.

Compliance: Articles must not make medical claims or promise treatment outcomes. Traditional indications should be framed as classical references.
