How to practise
- Sit comfortably with a straight spine and the eyes gently closed.
- Take a few slow breaths to settle and become quiet.
- Chant the verse slowly: Om Bhur Bhuvah Svah, Tat Savitur Varenyam, Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi, Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat.
- Keep the tone even and the pace unhurried, honouring each word.
- If learning, repeat one line at a time until the rhythm feels familiar.
- Let the mind rest gently on the sound rather than its meaning.
- After the final round, sit in silence for a few breaths.
