How to practise
- Sit comfortably with a straight spine and relaxed shoulders.
- Rest the right thumb beside the right nostril and the right ring finger beside the left nostril.
- Close the right nostril with the thumb and breathe in slowly through the left.
- Close the left nostril with the ring finger, release the thumb, and breathe out through the right.
- Breathe in through the right nostril, then close it and breathe out through the left.
- That is one round. Keep the breath smooth, quiet, and even throughout.
- Continue for the chosen time, then release the hand and breathe naturally.
