How to practise
- Sit comfortably with a tall, relaxed spine.
- Breathe in and out through the nose, keeping the mouth closed.
- Gently narrow the back of the throat so the breath makes a soft ocean-like sound.
- Let the in-breath and out-breath be slow, smooth, and equal in length.
- Keep the sound quiet and steady, never strained.
- Rest your attention on the gentle whisper of the breath.
- Continue for the chosen time, then let the breath return to normal.
