How to practise
- Lie down comfortably on your back with the arms a little away from the body.
- Support the head and knees with cushions if it helps you settle.
- Close the eyes and let the whole body grow still and heavy.
- Slowly move your attention through the body, part by part, softening each one.
- Notice the natural breath without changing it, letting it grow slow and easy.
- Stay relaxed and aware, resting in the space between waking and sleep.
- When the practice ends, gently move the fingers and toes before sitting up slowly.
