CCF Tea

CCF tea is cumin, coriander and fennel seeds steeped into a light daily tea, traditionally sipped to kindle digestion and suit every constitution.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 3 cups water

Method

  1. Lightly crush the cumin, coriander and fennel seeds in a mortar to open them up.
  2. Bring the water to a boil in a small pot.
  3. Add the crushed seeds and lower the heat.
  4. Simmer gently for five to seven minutes until the water turns pale gold and smells fragrant.
  5. Strain the tea into a cup or flask.
  6. Sip it warm through the day, between meals.

Often called CCF for its three seeds. A simple, tridoshic tea to keep in a flask and drink between meals.
