Soaked Almond Milk
Soaked almond milk is made from soaked, peeled almonds blended fresh with warm water, lightly spiced, a naturally nourishing Ayurvedic drink.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup almonds, soaked overnight and peeled
- 2 cups water
- 1 small pinch ground cardamom
- 1 small pinch saffron
- 1 tsp honey or 2 chopped dates, to taste
Method
- Soak the almonds overnight in plenty of water.
- In the morning, drain them and slip off the skins, which makes the milk lighter to digest.
- Put the peeled almonds in a blender with the fresh water.
- Blend until smooth, then strain through a fine cloth into a jug.
- Stir in the cardamom and saffron.
- Sweeten gently with honey or dates and serve at room temperature or lightly warmed.
Always made from soaked and peeled almonds in the Ayurvedic way. Make it fresh and drink it the same day.
